Market Your Business Online Using Solo Ad Marketing

Copyright © Karen Pore, Your Partner In Online Success

There are many ways to market your business or program online. Most of the online marketing ideas that I go through in my blog are free or low cost. The subject I would like to cover today can be costly. But if you look around enough you can find some pretty reasonable rates for solo ad marketing.

If you are not aware of what a solo ad is, or ezine marketing is let me give you a brief explanation. Just like anyone out there is building a list there are many people out there who have built list of many network marketers or online marketers, some even of business opportunity seekers. These people will in a way "rent" their list to you. By renting their list they charge you a fee (depending on how large that list is) and you are able to send your email advertisement to their list of subscribers.

Solo ad marketing can be a very successful way to market your business online and at times can work very well to get very qualified subscribers to your list. You can target those ads or your web page that you send in that ad to appeal more towards prospects who either have already had a business or have some experience with online marketing. This can benefit your business because once they get started they have an idea of where to begin. You may have a system that is equally easy for a newbie marketer or an experienced marketer, but we all know it's much easier to start a new business partner that has a little bit of experience.

Here are some tips if you want to use solo ad marketing.

1) Always track your ad.

Use some type of link tracker for your link to easily see how successful that campaign was. It will make it much easier to see if your link was clicked, if so by how many, and you can go from there and see if you want to either change your ad and use the same ezine or safelist for that solo ad, or if you may need to go elsewhere to advertise your business or program.

2) Target Your Advertising

You need to know your audience in solo ad marketing. Are these network marketers, MLMs or possibly business opportunity seekers? Determine what the majority of your audience will be so you can best target your ad.

3) Your headline

The headline can be the most important part of the entire solo ad! You need to get them to open the email. Spend a lot of time working on that headline.

4) Run Your Ad Multiple Times

We have all heard in advertising it takes your prospect seeing the exact same thing multiple times to act on it. So remember that. Also many ezine owners will offer discounts for you buying solo ads in bulk.

5) Don't Try To Sell Your Product In Your Ad

Do not try to "sell" in you solo ad marketing. You need to create enough int rest in your ad that someone would want to visit your website and let your system or your auto responder do the work for you. If you are selling out right most people would be turned away. There are NO products that sell themselves! No matter how much we believe in your business.

6) Don't Use All Caps In Your Headline

If you are using all capitals in your headline the reader may feel like you are yelling at them and most likely will not open your ad.

7) Include a "call to action"

At the end of your ezine solo ad explain exactly to the reader what you want them to do, let them know exactly where to go from that email or ad they have received.

8) Don't Be Cute Or Funny With Your Ad

You might put your readers in a good mood, but it will not convert to opt ins or sales.

9) Offer Something For Free

If you offer something for free when you are marketing your business online the reader is more likely to go and visit you site, or follow that call to action. You could offer a free ebook or maybe a free trail.

10) Subscribe To The Ezine

If you are sending a solo ad when you are marketing online if will help you tremendously to subscribe to that ezine to get an idea of what others may be marketing to people. Watch some of the other ads and make sure you do not sound like everyone else. You want to stand out and honestly you need to know your competition. Sometimes you may also be able to go in and look within the ezine at archived ads or articles and that can give you some ideas of ways to advertise your business online, or just as easily ways you do not want to!
